Press release: Feyerabend’s work is best described as contemporary figurative painting with modern roots and abstract tendencies. His work is known for its unusual depictions and perspectives, as well as the engaging interpretations between the figurative and abstract. Dominant subjects include ficticious portraits and the human figure.

The exhibition Foreign Exchange features pairings of often opposing forces, creating vibrant visual balances.
The title of the show derived from the most recent pieces which incorporate the notion of exchange in a visual way. In more general terms, exchange is one of the most basic human activities and can be either positive or negative - and it requires a second or outside party. The word foreign depicts the unfamiliar; a dealing on fragile ground. Translated into visual terms, this becomes a balance of competing forces inside a composition, which is a basic principle in Feyerabend’s work. In many paintings the observer can read through layers of couplings like dark - bright, bold - fragile, figurative - abstract etc.

His work was published earlier this year in a German Design Magazine, and selected for the front covers of a book published by the Berkeley Press, and a Miami newspaper.
Other current exhibition locations of Feyerabend’s work in South Florida include the Carriage House at the Design Center of the Americas,DCOTA, Dania Beach, FL.
